Superannuation & Retirement Planning

Superannuation & Retirement Planning

Superannuation is a concessionally taxed environment to help build capital for your retirement. For some retirement is decades away for others it is imminent. Superannuation can be a tricky and complicated environment to navigate but no matter what your circumstances, strategies are available to assist in building your superannuation capital that should ultimately enhance your retirement beyond receiving your employer contributions.

Once retired numerous strategies are available to ensure your superannuation pays you a tax efficient regular income and ensure your beneficiaries receive any benefits left tax effectively.

For some Retirement planning may include a combination superannuation capital, personal investments and / or Centrelink entitlements.

Our Advice may include:

  • Assessing a level of risk, you are comfortable with and investing your capital accordingly, with ongoing reviews to ensure your portfolio remains aligned with the established risk profile.
  • Finding the best vehicle to invest your superannuation capital, this may be a retail superannuation fund, a Self-Managed Superannuation Fund (SMSF) or your current fund.
  • Understanding your current circumstances to ensure you are making the most of the strategic options that are available to you. The outcome may see a better personal tax outcome, the government contributing to your superannuation or as a member of a couple a longer access to tax efficient contributions to superannuation.
  • Consideration of options available to build your superannuation upon the receipt of a lump sum, whether this is a redundancy package, inheritance or other windfall.
